What's a VCH ScreenName?

Your VCH Screenname – also referred to as "video chathost screenname" – is how iFriends members know you, and is how your iFriends VideoChat room if officially known on iFriends. If your VCH Screenname is "SWEET-SUZY", for example, "SWEET-SUZY" is the name by which iFriends users will locate you through the iFriends search facility or on iFriends browse. SWEET-SUZY will also be the name of your FanClub. The VCH Screenname configuration screen (Video Chathost Console, "Modify my Video Chathost Account") presents many important settings, such as those that describe your persona to iFriends' users. ("About Me", "My Favorite Things", etc). The VCH Screenname level is also the level at which you'll make many of your most important configuration decisions on iFriends, such as Privacy Block Zone settings (so people in certain zip codes, states or countries that you designate can't see you on iFriends) and the pricing terms of your videochat room (in the event you are utilizing iFriends' optional e-commerce engine). Prior to October 2003, iFriends required complete proof-of-age documentation for each VCH Screenname. After this date, iFriends began requiring complete proof-of-age documentation for only a universal iFriends ID Card, under which an individual or representative can associate one or more VCH screennames, and/or one or more participant handles.
